We structured the new h+h University like a University experience, where students can mix and match courses for the ultimate interdisciplinary experience. The new h+h University acknowledges that in the craft industry, entrepreneurs often wear many hats. h+h University covers 5 crucial craft industry tracks: Brick-and-Mortar Shops, E-Commerce Sellers, Creators, Designs/Teachers, and Sewing Machine Dealers. When registering for h+h University, students must choose one morning session and one afternoon session, but they’re free to choose from any of the 5 tracks to build their ideal University experience.
In our last blog, we reviewed the morning and afternoon sessions for Brick-and-Mortar Shops, E-Commerce Sellers, and Sewing Machine Dealers. If you fall into one or more of those categories, we recommend reading that post to see whether you’d like to build those courses into your h+h University experience.
Let’s look at the morning and afternoon sessions for the remaining two h+h University tracks: Creators and Teachers & Designers. As you review these sessions, think about how they might benefit your craft business, and remember that you can mix and match across ALL five tracks to build your best educational experience.
Creators
Morning Session

Afternoon Session

In this session, Erica Perez, marketer from Prym, shares how to position yourself as a valuable partner, not just a content creator.
Learn how brands approach collaborations, what they look for when selecting creators and how to build relationships that drive long-term success.
Teachers & Designers
Morning Session

In this session for teachers and designers, you’ll learn a proven three-step process for validating your course or teaching idea without having to rely on stressful tactics such as pre-selling.
If you’ve been holding back from creating an online course because you are afraid that no one will buy it, this process will alleviate your fears and help you feel confident enough to move forward. You will learn how to narrow down your ideas and conduct an environmental scan, which includes a 7-step student needs assessment and a 5-step market analysis. You’ll leave with a clear idea of what you should create and have a plan of action for your next steps.
Afternoon Session
