It’s time to mark your calendars for h+h americas 2024 program!

We’ve stacked the h+h americas 2024 program with lots of craft-related classes, talks, meet ups, social events, and more. h+h americas 2024 now includes an additional day of programming, so prepare to show up early. Events now begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, with the show itself running May 1-3, 2024. 

The events you know and love from previous years at h+h americas continue in 2024. Stay tuned for updates on program favorites like Learning Lab, our hands-on demo zone for trialing new products and crafting techniques. In the coming weeks we’ll also share updates around the Fashion Show, Cosplay Show, and Happy Hour, as well as details around daily Meet Ups available to exhibitors and attendees. 

Are you interested in hosting a Meet Up? Meet Ups are designed to provide an intimate, relaxed atmosphere to gather around shared interests. In the past, we’ve hosted Meet Ups for local retailers to network, for Facebook groups to finally gather in person, as a event for authors to meet and greet fans, as a space for guilds and associations to assemble, etc. If you have an audience you’d love to call together at h+h americas, the Meet Up is the perfect space. We are still accepting Meet Up requests here. 

With another day on the h+h americas 2024 schedule we’ve added even more ways to engage in the crafting community. Let’s review some of the new programs planned for this year.

Content Creator Summit

Join us for the first-ever Content Creator Summit, presented by gosadi! The Content Creator Summit is a networking event for content creators and influencers to network and engage in interactive sessions. The summit aims to serve as an inspirational convergence of minds and talent. It will unite the textile, fiber, and technology communities through a series of engaging presentations, panels, and networking opportunities. 

With a focus on education and collaboration, attendees can expect to receive valuable insights from industry experts at presentations and panels. Content creators should prepare to learn more about engaging with retailers, brands, and businesses in the crafts industry. The event culminates in a unique “Brand Mix & Matching” mixer and Influencer party to facilitate connections between brands and creators. After the mixer there will be an exclusive show floor preview for attendees. 

The goal of the Content Creator Summit is to provide a platform for brands and creators to learn from one another and connect directly, fostering meaningful connections in a relaxed, fun environment.

Product Academy

New for 2024, Product Academy grants early access to products, techniques, and books and gives you a crucial head start on the trade show floor. Product Academy occurs on the evening of April 30th and offers a “one to many” opportunity for exhibitors to showcase a new product and illustrate all the products that will coordinate with it. Attending retailers will discover and learn about new products together before the show opens. 

We hope Product Academy will create a more streamlined experience for retailers by providing insight into the products that most interest them. Once the show launches, retailers who have attended Product Academy can hit the ground running, knowing which products and exhibitors hold the most interest for their businesses. Retailers should use Product Academy as a means to focus their h+h americas 2024 experience so they interact with the right booths to place orders and make worthwhile connections. 

Registration is required to attend Product Academy. Registration starts at $15, but is free for Craft Industry Alliance Members! Stay tuned for when registration opens in the coming weeks. 

Sample It

Before the full conference launches, attend Sample It to purchase cash and carry of new, as-yet-unreleased product samples from retailers, businesses and craft creators. Sample It will give retailers the opportunity to play with new products and create samples for their stores before the product lines arrive. Sample It is a chance for businesses to stock up on amazing samples and products at great prices. Product samples will be limited and on a first come first served basis. 

Can’t make it to Sample It? Don’t worry! You can contact participating exhibitors now on h+h connect and let them know the products you are interested in. Exhibitors will be happy to help you find the best deals at h+h americas 2024.

M1R Incubator – Making More

Hosted by Fiber Business Collective, Making More is a full-day incubator program on April 30, 2024. The aim of Making More is to provide craft businesses with resources, tools, and knowledge to continue growing their businesses in a sustainable, manageable way. Making More will include:

• A full-morning workshop intensive (there will be four different intensives to choose from) that is hands-on, actionable, and hosted by an industry leader who is doing the work.
   
• Peer-led and guided afternoon breakout sessions with your specific area of industry.
   
• A late afternoon large-group design thinking session, built for fostering new ideas and innovation.
