h+h americas is a trade-only show. Attendance is limited to industry professionals: retailers, shop owners, buyers, distributors, designers, educators, content creators and press. It is not open to the general public.
When can I pick up my badge?
Registration opens the day before the expo and runs through each show day. Exact registration desk hours are published on the Dates & Opening Hours page closer to the show.
What are the exhibit hall hours?
The conference runs the day before the expo opens, and the expo itself runs across the following three days. Final hall hours are confirmed on the Dates & Opening Hours page.
How do I get an international visa letter of invitation?
Register for the show first, then contact us with your exhibitor or visitor status, country, company name, full name as it appears on your passport, business address, passport number, date of birth, contact details and your nearest US consulate. Letters are normally issued by email within two business days.
Can I pre-order a mobility scooter or wheelchair?
Yes. RES holds a limited inventory of scooters and wheelchairs, so book ahead rather than on the day. Scooters +1 847 696 2208, wheelchairs +1 847 692 2220. Rates and the order form for the current edition are confirmed closer to the show.
Can I get a list of attendees?
No. For privacy reasons attendee lists are not available, and we never sell or share attendee data. Anyone offering to sell you one is running a scam. Use the official app to browse exhibitors and connect with people at the show.
Exhibiting
What is included with a standard booth?
Linear, corner and perimeter booths include grey carpet, eight foot high pipe and drape walls, and a company ID sign. Peninsula and end-cap booths include grey carpet, an eight foot back drape and an ID sign. Island booths include grey carpet only, with drape and signage ordered separately.
What are the height restrictions for my booth structure?
Linear booths are limited to eight feet. Perimeter booths may have a back wall up to twelve feet. Island booths may reach sixteen feet including any sign. Anything above eight feet needs written approval from show management in advance.
Can I have a hanging sign over my booth?
Hanging signs are permitted for peninsula and island booths only, to a maximum of sixteen feet from the top of the sign to the floor. Written approval from show management is required in advance.
Can I set up my own booth?
Full-time employees of your company may set up your booth. If you are using an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, they must be registered in advance and provide a certificate of insurance, following the requirements in the Exhibitor Service Manual.
Does my booth have to be staffed?
Yes. At least one representative must be present in your booth for the duration of the show.
When can we break down our booth?
Dismantling begins after the expo closes on the final day. No part of an exhibit may be dismantled or removed before the published closing time.
What insurance do I need?
Exhibitors are required to carry $1,000,000 in liability coverage listing Koelnmesse Inc., 8770 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Suite 1300, Chicago, IL 60631 as additional insured. A certificate may be requested.
Do I need to order booth cleaning?
Your booth is vacuumed once before the show opens. Any cleaning beyond that is ordered separately. General hall and aisle cleaning is carried out nightly.
How do I get my materials to the show floor?
You may hand-carry items through single-wide doors at no cost. Cartload service and advance or on-site shipping are available through the general services contractor, with material handling charges set out in the Exhibitor Service Manual.
Where do I find the Exhibitor Service Manual?
It is published in the exhibitor area of this site ahead of the show. Rosemont Exposition Services is the general services contractor, reachable at [email protected] or +1 847 595 2208.
What should I budget for beyond the booth?
Plan for furnishings, graphics and signage, marketing materials, shipping and material handling, utilities such as power and internet, any audio-visual needs, and staff costs including travel, lodging and meals.
Are there sponsorship and promotional opportunities?
Yes. Sponsorship and marketing packages run from show floor branding to digital placements. See the sponsorship page, or talk to exhibit sales about what fits your budget.
Is there security in the exhibit hall?
Show management provides perimeter security during installation, the exhibition itself and dismantling. Beyond that, neither show management nor the facility is responsible for exhibitor property, which is why insurance is required.
Are there lower-cost ways to exhibit?
Yes. The curated pavilions are designed for independent brands and solo businesses, with smaller footprints and lower price points than a standard booth. The Indie Untangled Small Batch Pavilion in particular exists to help small startups exhibit with support and guidance.
Travel & Venue
Where is the show held?
The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, a few minutes from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and directly served by the CTA Blue Line.
How do I book a hotel?
h+h americas negotiates a room block at several Rosemont hotels. Those details are published on the Hotels & Travel page ahead of the show. Book through the official links only.
Will someone call me to book my hotel room?
No. We do not authorise any third party to call you about accommodation. If someone phones claiming to handle show hotel bookings, it is a scam. Their rates are usually higher than the block rate and the reservation is often never made at all.
Is parking available?
Yes. Two public garages serve the convention center, with a skybridge into the hall and accessible spaces available. Current rates and parking maps are published by the convention center.
Is the venue accessible?
The convention center has accessible parking, entrances and restrooms, and mobility scooters and wheelchairs can be rented on site. If you need something specific, contact us before you travel and we will confirm rather than guess.
Policies
What is the code of conduct?
We are committed to a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin or any other protected characteristic. The full code of conduct is published on this site.
How do I know if a solicitation is genuine?
Check with us before you sign or pay anything. Fraudulent third parties target trade show exhibitors with fake attendee lists, unauthorised hotel bookings and directory invoices dressed up as free listing confirmations. Our Beware of Scams page names the known offenders and explains what to look for.
Does h+h americas sell attendee data?
No, and it never has. We do not provide contact information, email lists or attendee data to third parties, and there is no authorised reseller. Any offer of an official attendee list is fraudulent.
What is your commitment to diversity and inclusion?
Affordable pavilion options exist so smaller and independent businesses can exhibit. Diversity is a stated criterion in selecting conference speakers and topics. Accessibility training is provided to instructors, and community outreach runs through partner organisations at the show.
